WELCOME TO SPEEDWAY | A Neighborhood Driven By Tradition
This tight-knit residential community on the west side of Indianapolis was named from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway that's located nearby. Aside from race day, this is a fairly quiet and friendly neighborhood Many families and young professionals live in Speedway. This neighborhood has highly rated public schools, as well as many parks and walkable amenities. This is a great pedestrian area to go out in with a revitalized Main Street and popular shops, restaurants and breweries lining the main downtown sector.
Shops include the likes of Three Sisters & a Trunk, B. Erin Designs, IMS Trackside Gift Shop. Restaurants and breweries include places like Big Woods Speedway, Charlie Brown's Pancake & Steakhouse, Dawson's on Main, Daredevil Brewing and more. There are lots of other fun family-friendly attractions like the IMS Museum, Indoor Go-Karting, Axe Throwing, Main Street Music festival and other exciting venues.
Speedway is only a 15-minute drive to downtown Indy. Or if you prefer the Indy Go Bus route, it's only a 30-minute ride. There are local grocery stores, outdoor markets, and great walking paths that run into nearby neighborhoods with even more great attractions.
