Eagledale, located on the west-side of Indianapolis, developed significantly in the 1950s and 1960s to accommodate working-class families, with homes built in that era by developers such as National Homes. Eagledale is one of the more diverse neighborhoods and has many attractions. Located just west of the Eagledale neighborhood, the Speedway is a big landmark and plays a major role in the city’s culture. The Museum showcases historic race cars, pace cars, trophies, and plenty of automotive history. Located on the East side of the neighborhood is the Riverside Regional Park featuring green space, walking paths, and scenic routes. 

Grocery shopping is a breeze thanks to nearby options like Aldi, Save A Lot, Walmart Supercenter and Meijer are just a short drive away. For those that prefer small businesses, several family-run convenience stores and local markets are around as well. In addition, residents can grab authentic Mexican food from El Taco Toreado, a quick slice at Rocky’s Pizza, or a sit-down meal at Grindstone Charley’s just off 38th Street. A local staple, The Tamale Place, has also become known for its fresh, hand-rolled tamales and welcoming atmosphere which is located only minutes away. Over on Main Street in Speedway and West 38th Street, you’ll find a growing list of barbecue spots, diners, and coffee shops, so there’s plenty to choose from without going far.

Main roads like 38th Street, 30th Street, and Georgetown Road run right through the area, making it easy to get around. Interstate 65 and 465 are just minutes away, offering quick access to downtown, the airport, or the suburbs.
